There is nothing wrong with taking that medication while you work with your diet; they go hand in hand. We don't advocate avoiding the doctor and solely going homeopathic. What we mean when we say food is the Remedy is more of a mindset of "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of the cure". We don't just believe - it has been proven - that when you optimize your diet, exercise, cultivate good quality relationships, and practice good stress management, you would find most common ailments would not affect you as much as those who follow a typical "western diet", participate in little to no physical activity and use social media as their main form of socializing.
The Mediterranean Diet
We advocate for what is called the Mediterranean diet, which isn't really a diet as much as it is some lifestyle guidelines that can be tailored to most people. This consists of 80% fruits and vegetables, seeds, nuts, legumes, whole grains, and greens in a variety of shapes and colors. It includes moderate amounts of lean meats and fatty fish and little to no red meat, cured meats, sweets, and fried foods. (We think a little indulgence in that last part in moderation around holidays and special occasions are a part of balance.)
